Why Obama's Ft. Hood reaction seems so strange
There are times when even Obama's critics seem to have difficulty putting into words their reaction to his strange behavior. I think that's because they refuse to consider the simple premise that makes sense of it all: He feels no love for the USA. He seems in fact to feel himself to be no part of this country.
The occupant of the office he lays claim to is supposed to represent the body politic. People expect that his reactions will reflect its joys and pains i.e., the joys and pains of the American people as a whole. They expected him to react to the shocking events at Ft. Hood the way a person reacts to a grievous and unexpected wound to his body. Even a minor blow (like stubbing his toe) gets a pained reaction from the whole body. But the Ft. Hood attack is like a razor sharp knife that slips from its proper use to cut off a finger. It can only seem like a minor wound to someone whose gut isn't writhing with pain.
It was obvious to all that Obama's gut wasn't writhing. He spoke like a spectator taking notice of a scuffle on the sidelines. 'We shouldn't react until we know all the facts,' he says, as if the gut waits for a doctor's report rather than twisting with pain as a part of the body falls away.
With due regard to Bill Clinton, the simple fact is this. Obama doesn't feel our pain. To be sure, once it becomes clear that appearing to do so will serve his agenda of power, he will study the part and summon the right appearance when the script calls for it. But only fools will forget that this aspect of the role doesn't come naturally for him. His instinct isn't to feel for the country. It is to protect our assailants from any overreaction by Americans. He apparently assumes that we are prone to spiteful nastiness.
Nothing about this nation's reaction after the gut wrenching events of 9-11 justifies his fearful and insulting instincts. In many other countries (including the Islamic nations whose praises he sings so readily) there would have been violent street riots that claimed the lives of scores of innocent people, victimized because they professed the same religion as the terrorist assailants. In America we cried out in grief and anger, but we acted out first of all by falling to our knees in prayer to Almighty God. We rose again to seek justice, but even then we didn't lash out in prejudiced anger. We aimed our first blows at the beast that struck us, not even at others who, like some of the Palestinians, danced in their streets for joy as we mourned our dead.
Obama's reaction did not represent the American people. It came from years of associating with, studying, and even worshiping with people who hate us and everything we stand for in the world. In his heart of hearts I wager he even despises the decent motivation of many who voted for him. Many did so precisely because they naively believed that their action would lay to rest once and for all the stigma of institutionalized bigotry and hatred that mars all too many pages of our history as a nation. But there is a kind of relentless hating that sees in repentance only the admission of guilt. Though such people thought Obama's victory would stand for hope, every day it becomes more apparent that he brings only judgment.
What manner of man is this who now claims to preside over the affairs of the nation?
"The sojourner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail." (Deuteronomy 28:31, cf. Lamentations 5:8, Ezekiel 11:9)
Better they had sought for hope following God's example and looking "for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it..." (Ezekiel 22:30).

I agree with you, and I in the Love of Our Lord pray that as a nation we can humble ouselves and pray and God will hear our prayers and heal our land. GOD BLESS YOU ALAN KEYES.
"Obama's reaction did not represent the American people." (Dr. Keyes)
Dr. Keyes, this is the typer of stuff that gets you nowhere. Pointing out what you perceive to be wrong is only half of the equation. The other half is what would you have considered to be an appropriate reaction. So Dr. Keyes, what do you think would have been an appropriate (immediate) response to this tragedy by 'a' President of the United States? And did you, Dr. Keyes, provide that response yourself? (You may have. I don't know. That's why I am asking.)
This is your website Dr. Keyes. You do with it as you please. I only participate at your pleasure. But, if you were to ask me sir, I would have first made an address to those service members affected by this tradegy. (That would be all of them.) But that's just me.
Dr. Keyes no doubt felt the pain which Obama did not even consider. But in the wake of Obama's comments, Dr. Keyes--along with everyone else who still feels for America--felt a renewed outrage at the gross insensitivity with which the erstwhile Commander in Chief of America's military treated the fresh wound.
I'm rather glad to be numb already.
Yes, they sure would have done good to look for a MAN who would stand in the breach of the wall before almighty GOD. But no... we wanted to make history - or maybe end it as we know it? Sick people... I would NEVER vote for ANYONE with a Muslim name and you can call it what you want. I call it STUPID to, after 9/11, vote for anyone REMOTELY associated with them! If he is such a Christian, why did he retain that name (if that really IS his name) unless it were a sign for his people across the globe?
I am in total disagreement with Mister Derek P. I think by Dr. Keyes even writing on the subject with such absolute passion, and honestly a complete realization of what millions of us saw the other day, drives it all home even better. I, for one, am satisfied that someone besides myself saw such a creepy person do such a creepy thing in what should have been the most somber moment since he stole the office. OH... I forget... he is sssssooooooooooooo close to absolute power now by the passage of this "health" "care" bill and he probably knew exactly that when he was on TV the other day.
Maybe that is why he had that demented look in his eyes like he was about to laugh. He must've been about to wet himself with glee, knowing he was on the verge of slamming the lid on the USA's coffin.
I continue to pray GOD will remove that ugly curse off our nation and take his ugly wife with him! They can still organize communities and write books and "model" in jail, right?
Derek P.'s criticism is off base in my opinion. Implicit in the entry is Mr. Keyes's idea of an appropriate response, not to mention that a president with genuine love for and undivided loyalty to America and real Americans would know instinctively how to react. That Hussein didn't, and doesn't, says all that needs be said on the subject.
If it's necessary to spell everything out to people all of the time, then we're deader'n even I thought we were.
Gibertabrett,
Yes -- Barack Hussein Obama -- Disqualified! Automatically! I don't care if he was born in Hawaii, or right here in my own state Oklahoma, for that matter. Colin Powell's opinion of me be damned.
Eloquent and touching as always, Alan Keyes, is a true patriot and true intellectual and a true son of God.
Another question bugging my mind, where was Obama and his wife on and after 9-11? Everyone can remember that day, that moment they found out what was happening...but I have yet to find, a statement or a report on what Barack Hussein Obama...Mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmm...was doing or what he said, on and right after 9-11. What phone calls did he make and to whom....Hmmmm?
Does anybody know? What was his initial reaction to 9-11?

“Why can’t Orly re-file the case with Judge Carter and only ask the Alan Keyes be given a token monetary award like $1 or some other nominal figure?
The Judge seemed to think that Keyes had standing but the he could not give them what they were asking for (removing Obama from the presidency)if they were proven correct about their claims.
They only need the information. The outcome of that information would take care of itself.”

we are working on it, but keep in mind that this abusive regime is pressuring judges to retaliate against me and silence me in any way possible
His reaction was embarassing and is not that of America as a whole. I wholeheartedly agree with you Dr. Keyes
Thank you Mr. Keyes for expressing the same outrage I felt at the cold reaction to the Ft Hood Massacre! I was appalled that he seemed to be almost disingenuious in his reaction. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. God be with you and bless you!
Azure6, probably those creeps were doing the same as what he was doing the other day on TV trying to feign compassion and utter sadness - looking as if he were snickering and trying to hold his face together. Or maybe he was in the building where they practice black liberation theology (whatever THAT is - witchcraft/devil worship) GD'ing America?
Mr. Morris, I am sure you feel the same as I - I could care less what General Powell thinks about me. After he did what he did moments before the election, he is just as close as Obama in my book to being a traitor; but not quite the same as Obama. Of course, he would have done just as well to stand up and say to vote for Satan himself because essentially that is what (and whom) he endorsed by supporting Obama. To me, boiling it all down, yeah... it's the same thing.
Sometimes we make things WWWWAAAAAYYYYYYY too difficult in this country. That is why JESUS said the Pharisees could not understand salvation. They had to have too many rules and regulations and JESUS made it simple.
We have taken ten commandments from GOD and added so much junk that you can literally rape and murder someone and walk away from it with no punishment. BUT, on the other hand, you can smoke a joint in the privacy of your own home in some states and be put in jail because someone got mad at you and turned you in to the police. We worry about the gnat, yet not only swallow the camel, but ask others to bring their camels along for the meal!
And Barack and Michelle Obama are some BIG camels...
Mr. Keyes, Thanks for supporting LastingLiberty. We have linked you on our website. Please consider linking our newest piece on the front page: Bigger Than Healthcare. It uses the writing of the late economist Joseph Schumpeter to show how healthcare "reform" is a simple power grab by the government. The article can be found here:http://lastingliberty.squarespace.com/timeless/2009/11/8/bigger-than-healthcare.html
I have to admit, that I was looking at his reaction as that of a child-like self promoter. When I see the way this President behaves, I immediately think about the guy who ran for class President and then at the class reunion, had lost all his hair and was selling used cars. In the end as dangerous as this man we call President is I always hope that sooner or later people will start seeing how silly all of him is, and unfortunately I realized lately that he doesn't care. I thank you Dr Keyes for putting it into a proper perspective for me, because I didn't even comprehend that it was possible to not love America.
I see this in Derek P. above as well, and won't even bother to comment further, but will thank him along with all the other people who commented for sharing all the same.
I look forward to everything you have to say and hope you come back to NH :)
I'd have thought that he either went to one of Jeremiah Wright's sermons on the subject or was haning out with his special friends (like Van Jones) while they vapored about the injustices which might be perpetrated against the Middle-Eastern community as a result (or cause) of terrorism...er, militant protest actions.
When I went to seminary I read the Koran in hope of determining what makes Muslims so extraordinarily passionate about commiting violence. Every one should read their twelve pillars of faith just to understand what makes them tick. Anyway, what I came away with is that there are essentially two types of muslims; those who carry out the violent tenets of their faith and those who do not. Make no mistake they all believe the same thing it is just a matter of how zealot you are.
Despicable conduct.
I have never seen a more despicable act by a president then I saw yesterday. I'm talking about barrak hussein obama's remark about the terrorist attack at Fort Hood on unarmed soldiers and civilians. When channel 2 tuned in bho was halfway through his prepared remarks after a department of the interior conference. I saw this yahoo shout out and wave a greeting to a friend before he finished the remarks off his teleprompter. When this disgrace was done he then said a few kind things about our fallen and wounded soldiers. I see today that he is going to visit Walter Reed Hospital, not the injured in Fort Hood.
Can you imagine GWB finishing a conference and closing remarks, giving a glad hand to Karl Rove, before remarking about the fall of the World Trade towers? Can you imagine GWB not going to the site of the tragedy , but instead going to some downtown with tall buildings, way away from the site to give remarks? Of course not! As much as I dislike GWB for his dismantling of the Constitution He would NEVER do anything so despicable.
This yahoo MUST go before he apologizes for the terrorist need to have killed these soldiers.

What type of man is Obama ? The man chosen by the Globalists to destroy this nation and merge us into the New World Order- Excerpt: On October 9th, 2009, in his ninth month in office, President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. (1) In occult numerology, three 9's indicates finality. Three 9's are also an inverted 666. The world was in shock that a man who has really done nothing was given such an honor and high award. The question heard around the world that day was, "What did he do to deserve this award?" Why did he receive it? The answer is a spiritual one. This man who is literally worshipped by many of his subjects is now known as the "man of peace." The Scripture tells us that a man of "peace" would rise up in the last days and destroy many. In Daniel 8:25 we read as follows: "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand." In Jeremiah 6:14, we also read the following: "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying Peace, peace; when there is no peace." We must also take note of I Thessalonians 5:3 as follows: "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape." http://lasttrumpetnewsletter.org/2009/11_09.html
I...maybe it's just me.
Is there anyone who seriously doubts that Obama is the Anti-Christ?
I mean, among people who even believe that there is an Anti-Christ in the first place, and all that other stuff about a star named Wormwood smiting the seas and sky and a big battle at Armageddon and the Second Coming and all...I realize that people who don't believe in any of that aren't likely to believe that Obama is the Anti-Christ no matter what he does.
The more important thing is that Obama is a Muslim. He was born a Muslim (regardless of where this happened) and raised a Muslim. His only claim to not being a Muslim was that he attended a church preaching radical Islam in English (of a sort) rather than a mosque. Which, if you know your Koran, doesn't make you not a Muslim, hiding the fact that you're a Muslim when it would inconvenience you is one of the lesser teachings of Islam. Muhammad himself did it, after all.
And while Obama probably isn't willing to die for Islam, he's certainly willing to kill for it...even if he has to maintain plausible deniability for now. In any case he's demonstrated no willingness to risk being perceived as taking actions which result in the premature deaths of "Allah's brave warriors".
I didn't see his public comments and I don't need to see them. He is who he is and no public oration is going to change that. It will only serve to anger me.
As to whether he is THE anti-christ, I believe there can be no doubt he is A anti-christ. But much like Armeggedon, or the supposed rapture, those things don't much matter to me. It is more important to me to develop a personal relationship with the Lord, maintain that relationship, and discern His will for me.
If so-called conservative Christians would focus on the Lord God instead of Republicans, these things would take care of themselves. All things are possible with God and we shouldn't lean on our own understanding.
Finally, as to the murderous rampage at Ft. Hood; the MSM continue to imply a mental disorder, something along the lines of PTSD. Or was it the fact the Major is a devout Muslim? If we ever want to understand what's going on, the truth would be a good place to start.
Well, Obama, what's the truth? Are you even capable of telling it?
Derek P.,
The answer to your question about how BHO should have acted is simple. If he had shown the same level of compassion and regard as when George Tiller was murdered, nobody would complain.
I hope Alan Keyes runs for President again. I don't believe he will ever overcome the liberal American media establishment...but just to see him debate Obama in an open forum -now that would be eye-opening for many of our media blinded sheep.
